About Us


ALD Plant Hire is a family run civil engineering firm based around Abergavenny in South East Wales. We undertake a wide variety of civil works on a local and national scale for both the public and private sectors.

We believe in providing our customers a professional yet friendly service where no job is too big or too small. We see communication as a key aspect of business and hold great importance in being able to offer customers a greater role in customising their service. This allows ALD to offer an end product that maximises customer satisfaction.

ALD Plant Hire's operatives are a highly skilled, professional and motivated workforce. We believe it is important to offer all operatives an equal opportunity to develop their skills. We use the CSCS and CPCS qualifications as a base for our training with chances to further themselves through courses, such as, IOSH (First Aid), Streetworks and 'Confined Spaces'.     
Working within the natural environment ALD realise the need to be socially responsible. Our actions can have a far reaching impact, so we must be constantly monitoring our footprint. In order for us to become more aware of our impact on the environment we work closely with Enzygo an external company specialising in environmental consultancy.

In 2010, ALD successfully acquired Woodlands Services Abergavenny, an agricultural supplier based just outside of Abergavenny on the Hereford Rd. 
Woodland Services provides a large array of agricultural goods for commercial and domestic use. Products include fencing materials, sheds, tools and aggregates.
